Vaults of Heaven (Canterbury Cathedral)

from Firmamentum by Levente

/

about

A tribute to the master builders of the Middle Ages, whose architectural masterpiece I have been photographing for some years with awe...

Whilst the track was composed with a medieval / renaissance feel, with both sacred and secular medieval music flavours, there are of course numerous anachronisms in its arrangements, with the sneaky presence of electronics, too, which hopefully convey the ethereal nature of these buildings - and a sense of joy that must have accompanied the completion of the vast project.
